About CAVWOC

Who are we

The Centre for Alternatives for Victimized Women and Children (CAVWOC) was founded in 1998 to respond to gender-based injustice and protect the rights of women and children.

Inspired by a student’s tragic experience, our founder Stella Twea turned grief into action creating one of Malawi’s most impactful social service organizations.
