Enhancing knowledge and access to SRHR information and services among women and adolescents in Balaka District
Go BackTransforming SRHR Through Community Action
CAVWOC's Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) program is committed to enhancing knowledge and access to SRHR information and services among women and adolescents. Using a multi-faceted, community-driven approach, the program tackles harmful social norms, practices, and barriers to healthcare.
Key interventions include awareness campaigns through sports bonanzas and Theater for Development (TFD), which foster open dialogue within communities. The program also promotes peer education, mentorship, and role modeling to support informed decision-making among youth.

Progressive Bylaws for Sustainability
Traditional leaders in TA Amidu and TA Kalembo have developed progressive bylaws on SRHR and gender-based violence (GBV), later refined with support from the district judiciary. These bylaws, formally endorsed during public gatherings, have created a supportive environment for open SRHR dialogue.
